About this blog
Welcome to the blog that supports the book Intellectual Property Law and Interactive Media: Free For a Fee. The book is authored by Edward Lee Lamoureux, Ph. D., Steve Baron, J.D., and Claire Stewart and is published by Peter Lang Publishers as part of the Digital Formations Series edited by Steve Jones. Dr. Lamoureux manages this website, with help from Bradley University Multimedia major Mike Watson.
The blog will evolve over time.
Initially and most centrally, we will provide links to materials related to the coverage found in the book chapters. The intent is to provide interesting, relevant, and timely connections to the many challenges and changes across the rapidly shifting new media intellectual property law landscape. You’ll find the chapter headings with links to articles under “Categories” in the right column. At the top right of the interface, the “Chapter Update Index” will take you to pages that update specific passages in the book.
From time to time, Dr. Lamoureux and his students will comment on material within the linked articles. The blog is “moderated” for topic relevance and categorization purposes. Editing of articles that appear here will be for length, not content. Selecting the item in the right column displays the article (sometimes with our comments) on this site. Links to the original host sites leave this site; we are not responsible for the content or functionality of linked materials.
Eventually, the blog will develop additional interactive features supporting teaching, learning, and social activism. You are welcome to send comments and suggestions to Dr. Lamoureux at ell@bradley.edu
